These terms of sale apply to all bookings and purchases made on ilulissatcar-rental.gl and associated systems. The specific terms for the rental itself (fees, insurance, driving etc.) can be found under Terms & fees.

All prices on the website are stated in Danish kroner (DKK). Greenland is not part of the EU VAT area, and prices are therefore stated without VAT.
Ilulissat Car Rental accepts payment by the following methods:
Online card and MobilePay payments are handled by our payment providers S5 and Frisbii via an encrypted payment server. We only receive a transaction reference and status — card details are never stored on our systems. The cookies these providers set during the payment flow are described in our cookie policy.
For online payment by card or MobilePay, the amount is reserved at booking. The final amount is charged when the car is picked up. In addition, we reserve an amount corresponding to the excess on the payment card at pick-up; the amount is released again at drop-off without damage.
We do not add transaction fees to online card payments.
Ilulissat Car Rental rents out cars in Ilulissat town, Greenland. The car is made ready for pick-up at one of the following places, selected in the booking flow:
We make sure the car is ready for you on arrival. The key is placed at an agreed spot, coordinated by e-mail before arrival.
We only rent out cars within Ilulissat town — we do not deliver to other towns in the Disko Bay area.
Note: If you pick up or drop off at the airport outside our normal opening hours, the timing may be limited by the flight traffic on that day.
As a car rental agreement is an agreement on a service at a specific time, the general 14-day right of withdrawal under the consumer contracts act's rules on service purchases does not apply to the rental period itself.
However, we offer the following flexibility on our bookings:
Cancellations must be communicated to us by e-mail ilulissatcar-rental@vvs.gl or phone +299 94 60 23, and must clearly state the booking ID and that you wish to cancel.

If the car does not match what was agreed at pick-up — e.g. wrong car type, defects or damage not noted in the contract — please notify us within 2 hours of receipt by e-mail or phone. Any existing damage must be documented with photos.
Ilulissat Car Rental disclaims liability for mechanical faults and consequential damage arising during the rental period, cf. the full rental conditions. In the event of a breakdown, call us on +299 94 60 23 — we have local roadside assistance in Ilulissat town and the surrounding area.
Complaints about the payment itself (e.g. an incorrectly charged amount) are handled by contacting ilulissatcar-rental@vvs.gl.
When you create a booking, you enter personal data yourself, which we receive and process as data controller. The primary purposes are:

If you have a complaint, we ask you to first contact us directly at ilulissatcar-rental@vvs.gl or by phone +299 94 60 23, so we can find a solution together.
If we cannot reach an agreement, a dispute can be brought before the Greenlandic courts — see the section on governing law below.
If you are a consumer residing in another EU country, you can submit your complaint via the EU Commission's online complaint portal: consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. When submitting a complaint, you must state our e-mail: ilulissatcar-rental@vvs.gl.
The agreement between you and Ilulissat Car Rental is governed by Greenlandic law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be settled by the Greenlandic courts.
By signing the rental contract you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms of sale as well as the full rental conditions.
