Pisiffik and Brugseni are the town's supermarkets, and there are several smaller shops around the centre. Opening hours are shorter than in bigger cities, especially on Sundays, so check the individual shop before you drive. With a car, a week's worth of groceries is one trip instead of many walks uphill.

The town has several cafés and eateries, from coffee and cake to Greenlandic specialities, and several of the hotels have restaurants that welcome outside guests too. Many places keep seasonal opening hours, so check today's hours on Google Maps before you drive.

The car must be returned with a full tank, so plan a stop at the petrol station before drop-off. Missing fuel is charged at the fuel price plus a 200 kr service fee, see terms and fees. Ask us at pick-up if you are in doubt about the nearest station.
Greenland uses Danish kroner (DKK). Visa and Mastercard are accepted almost everywhere, and there are ATMs in town, so cash is rarely necessary. Our own bookings are paid online by card or by invoice for companies.
Ilulissat Taxa can be reached on +299 94 49 44. The taxis are few, and around flight arrivals and boat departures there can be real waiting time, so order well in advance. There is also an Ilulissat Taxa app, but it requires a Greenlandic phone number, so calling is easier for visitors.
